Here is a clearshield steel security screen with the emergency exit bar to allow for easy escape in case of fire. you press the bar running down the entire side (inside) and the screen hinges open like a door to allow for a person to get through.

Installed 2 of these windows.
removed old timber windows of similar design, but which had 5mm float glass (quite unsafe).
New frame is commercial framing, not residential, to look more like the original chunky timber frame. 101 x 44.5mm
grey laminate glass, with the larger panel 10.38 mm thick.
awning with chain winder and fly screen, trimmed with aluminium angles.
Unusual glass in this particular window- TAFFETTA Toughened glass.

Last week we installed 2 boxframe windows in cedar. I finally got some time to upload the pics. All in western red cedar, weights and pulleys box frame. top sash fixed, bottom sash lift up. flyscreen in timber on the outside. Glazed with double glazing with argon gas.

the glass is toughened cathedral.
Today I have done a bit of everything; helping the lads out on all these odd jobs for the start of the year. Always with a camera in hand, here is some of the things we are doing today.

Here we are making a large arched window with colonial bars, top down photo showing us setting up the template etc.

Here is mill (raw) alumimium commercial frame we have engineered to a curve. we will then make a window from it.
Just made 2 of these windows, ready to be picked up by our client.

We make so many of these or variations of, that i rarely take photos of them.
This is a residential aluminium window, powdercoat black with white translucent glass.
it has a horizontal sliding section up top and a fixed lite below.
