My entire last week was spent on a first floor of a hall installing 16 bronze anodise sliding windows. It was a challenge (4 of us there all week) but in terms of photos, pretty boring. But this was being made at the factory by my timber lads and when i returned to work I had to photo this and share it.
Solid Oak. roughly 2900 high x 3000 wide. We are making a pair of doors (again solid oak) which when we install the frame will be hung on pivots.
The fixed panels on the sides will be adorned with crosses and other ikons for the church.

A shopfront had been fire damaged and required a new window/door.
All the beautiful artwork painted on the original window was burnt and cracked and damaged – but the owner said the artist will come back and do something new.

the African shop in Woodville had been damaged by fire. all that artwork was handpainted on the glass.

New clear anodise commercial aluminium shopfront. Note the wall so close to the window – we could not glaze on the inside. So we used 10.38 laminate glass, and glazed at the front only.

Today we glazed some arched windows we had made. Linings/beads to go on at the very end. We had a number of cars stop along the road saying how impressed they were with these frames.

Yesterday, we removed a window at a hairdresser which had been hit by a car.
A meranti 4 panel fixed lite, just under 5meters wide. 10.38 clear laminate glass was used.

Installed this window yesterday, very pleased as we managed to remove the old glass panes from the old sashes, and re-use them in the new window.

The day before we did this – a cedar sliding door and window. up in a horse farm. the view was lovely.

This morning we set up 2 bifolds for installation. here is a photo of the work being carried out. I left the lads there to finish the glazing, so its not a finished photo.

This morning, we had 3 bifolds up and screwed in by 9:30am.
I’ve come back to the factory to relax and do this post, whilst the lads struggle on and do the finishing touches. Monday we glaze them.

Getting the first bifold moved into position

3 bifolds secured in (more screws later) by 930am. Glazing will occur monday with 6.38 clear laminate glass.
We made 2 bifolds, and 2 doorframes with doubledoors (french doors) for this job at west lakes. the original windows were removed, and some required wall cuts too.
Client will render to the outside of our frames.
